Meat Factory – Lenoir City, TN

Wampler’s current openings with new pays. All positions work Monday – Friday and sometimes Saturdays and some Holidays are worked to be able to fill orders.All candidates need to pass a drug test and watch 4 OSHA training videos.

1st Shift Departments.

Bone and Kill Department (Boning and Harvest)

  • Pay Rate: $11.50/hr
  • Starts at 7 am until production is finished


KP (Rack Loaders and Slick Catchers)

  • Pay Rate: $11.50/hr
  • Starts at 8 am until production is finished

Mixer/Grinder Operators

  • Pay Rate: $11.50/hr

Sausage Kitchen

  • Pay Rate: $10.50/hr

LL Packing (Packers for handline, stackers, and links)

  • Pay Rate: $10.50/hr
  • Starts at 7 am until production is finished

HL Packing (Packers for handline, stackers, and links)

  • Pay Rate: $11.00/hr
  • Starts at 7 am until production is finished

General Labor/Grounds Maintenance and Day Sanitation

  • Pay Rate: $10.50/hr
  • Starts at 7:30 am until finish

Maintenance

  • Pay Rate depends on their experience
  • Starts at 7 am until finish

2nd Shift Departments.

LL Ribs and Lions

  • Pay Rate: $11.50/hr
  • Starts at 1:30 pm until production is finished

HL Ribs and Lions

  • Pay Rate: $12.00/hr
  • Starts at 1:30 pm until production is finished

Description. 

LL Handline

  • Packing (bilingual females)
  • Pick patties from the conveyor belt and place them in boxes (the meat is frozen, and the hands can get cold and numb – gloves are given for protection)
  • Cold, at 45 degrees
  • Must have fast hands

HL Handline

  • Stacks boxes (usual 648 lbs.)
  • Using a pallet jack – push/pull 80 to 180 boxes on a rack (can weight up to 1200lbs)
  • In and out of a 10-degree freezer

LL Links

  • General computer knowledge (bilingual a plus)
  • Putting stickers on packages of links and boxing them (12 lb. boxes)
  • Making labels for boxes and printing them.
  • Must be able to read English and count
  • Lift 12 lb. boxes
  • Rotate from patties to links (20 – 30 degrees)

LL Ribs and Lions

  • Weighting and boxing ribs and lions into corrugated boxes
  • Use of hand knifes to trim lions and ribs
  • Assisting with breading and battering loins and placing into plastic trays
  • Use of band saw to cut pork ribs and bones

HL Stacker

  • Standing on lift
  • Stacking frozen meat into machine to be cut/sliced

HL Bone and Kill

  • Standing on lift at a huge table
  • Cutting meat of the bone
  • Very physical
  • Lots of blood
  • May look hard but the manager states that it’s very easy

HL KP

  • Very fast paced
  • Catching slicks of sausage rolls from the machine
  • Stacking them on trays and inserted into a rack
  • Pushes racks into 2 degrees cooler
  • When the whole rack is full the it can weight up to 1200 lbs.

LL KP

  • Lift 12 lb. boxes

LL Packing

  • Packing patties or links

HL Packing

  • Placing boxes on pallets

Maintenance

  • Repair experience
  • Certified electrician
  • Welder
  • HVAC (is a plus)
