Business for 35 years and is looking for a maintenance coordinator. This person creates work orders and assigns the jobs to the appropriate maintenance technicians. Work orders will involve any work that needs to be done at their properties including (but not limited to) plumbing work, HVAC repairs, etc.
The job hours are 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. There is a 3 to 4 week period every summer they call the “turns” where they have to get the properties ready after students move out, before the next batch of students move in. During this time they will be earning lots of overtime hours and will be working Saturdays. (This period is typically in July).
The ideal candidate is someone with longevity (so no job hoppers), someone who is looking for an opportunity for a full-time position with a growing company.
The ideal candidate could be someone who has managed people in the past, someone who knows materials (i.e., worked somewhere like Home Depot), or someone who has a maintenance background.
Must be able to work on their own / no micromanaging.
They must have decent computer skills (and are trainable) because they will be using their property management software. Pay rate starts between $15-$17 hourly. When they take in the work orders, they will have to assign them to the maintenance technicians, they will also be working with the property owners and possibly sub-contractors to do the work.
