We are currently hiring a dependable and hardworking General Maintenance Technician to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of apartments and single-family homes throughout the Knoxville area. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with room for growth and pay increases based on performance.
Pay
- Starting at $18.00/hour
- Pay increase after 30 days based on performance
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday–Friday schedule with some on-call responsibilities as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair work on apartments and residential homes
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and drywall repairs
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Repair fixtures, doors, appliances, and other household items
- Perform painting, touch-ups, and general property upkeep
- Ensure units are move-in ready for new tenants
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, construction, handyman, or related experience preferred
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and good attendance required
- Ability to lift, bend, and work in various environments
